Gold Coast Airport Pours 3,000sqm Basement Slab

The last two Saturdays saw 100 workers, and 330 truckloads pouring the cement to create a 3,000sqm slab for the new Rydges brand hotel. That equates to over 18,636 suitcases full of concrete moved through the main entrance to the airport.

This is a real milestone start of the Airport hotel, coinciding with the erection of the crane by the end of the week.

“This is an opportunity we would have dreamed of. It enables our business to enter another market and show some of our ability” – Steve Marais (Executive Director).
